Janne Janssens

Hello, you!

My name is Janne and I am a 22-year-old from the region Antwerp, Belgium. I study 3D Artist at Syntra AB. It is an extra one-year course after my studies Audiovisual Arts Animation at Sint-Lukas, LUCA School of Arts, Brussels.

I have been a bookworm my whole life, but eight years ago, at the age of 14, I also discovered the fun of telling stories myself. Since then writing is my greatest passion. Through animation I can visually bring my stories to life and share the images in my head with others.

​

During the first two years of my education in animation I didn't only have to discover my style, but also myself. What stories did I want to bring and how? During the third bachelor year I found my enthusiasm for stop-motion. I made both my bachelor (MY LABEL) and master graduation film (ADA & ODILE) in this technique.

​

However, when I started my studies in animation, my initial plan was to learn 3D animation. Because I found the technical training too limited, I concentrated on stop-motion and decided to take an extra training in 3D after my master graduation. Now I can't choose which technique intrigues me the most.

​

My creativity extends beyond my studies. In my spare time I like to spend my time on creative writing, photography, blogging, sewing, playing music and all kinds of other smaller creative projects.
